Sky3DS Firmware Update: Improved Compatibility and Features

Introducing Firmware 140 and SkyDock Adapter

The makers of the Sky3DS flashcart have released a new firmware update (v140) and a new accessory called the SkyDock. The firmware update brings several improvements and compatibility enhancements, while the SkyDock provides a more convenient way to use the Sky3DS card.

Enhanced Compatibility

The Sky3DS firmware 140 now supports most HomeBrews, making it easier to enjoy custom software and applications on your Nintendo 3DS or 2DS console. Additionally, the flashcart can now be used with all Nintendo 3DS XL, 2DS, New 3DS XL, and New 2DS XL devices, regardless of their firmware or region version.

Improved Functionality

The Sky3DS firmware 140 also introduces a new feature that allows you to use the flashcard to play free 2DS or 3DS games on your Nintendo 3DS or 2DS console. This feature is compatible with firmwares up to 11.00-33, making it accessible to a wide range of users.

SkyDock Adapter

The SkyDock adapter is a convenient accessory that allows you to connect your Sky3DS card to your computer without having to remove the SD card from the flashcart. This makes it easier to update the firmware, add new games, and manage your Sky3DS card's contents.

How to Install the Update

To install the Sky3DS firmware 140, follow these steps:

  1. Download the firmware 140 file from the official Sky3DS website.
  2. Extract the firmware.bin file to your local disk.
  3. Pull the SD card out of the Sky3DS cartridge and place it into a card reader.
  4. Copy the firmware.bin file to the root directory of the SD card.
  5. Insert the SD card back into the Sky3DS cartridge and insert it into your Nintendo 3DS or 2DS console.

Once the firmware update is complete, you will be able to enjoy the improved compatibility and features of the Sky3DS flashcart.
